![]() The Hutchinson Senior Center is a place to just drop in and have fun. If you’re 55 or older and looking for something to do, there’s no better place to visit than the Hutchinson Senior Center at the Hutchinson Event Center, 1005 State Highway 15 S. This city-sponsored program offers Hutchinson-area senior citizens activities, services, tours and and recreational opportunities. Visitors can learn to use computers, maintain health and wellness through physical activities and in-house clinics. They can also meet, mingle and make new friends by participating in dances, classes, discussion groups and trips. The senior center also is the site for service programs for such timely issues as health, legal advocacy and tax assistance. To keep up-to-date with what’s going on at the center, seniors can subscribe to the Senior Newscaster, an eight-page monthly newsletter. It includes information on daily activities, grandparenting tips, recipes, health-related articles and more. It is available by subscription, $8 per year, or $15 for two years. Information on senior activities and tours is also included on the Community page in Tuesday’s Hutchinson Leader. The Hutchinson Senior Center is open from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, at the Hutchinson Event Center, 1005 State Highway 15 S. For more information about the center, call (320) 234-5656. Advertising |
